‘Descendents‘ actress Sofia Carson is seen for the first time on the set of the Netflix thriller “Carry On” on October 25th. Carson was all smiles and can be seen showing a bit of leg as she walked around set in a white robe. ‘Carry On’ centers on Ethan Kopek, played by Egerton, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.

Following the success of one of Netflix’s biggest films of the summer in Purple Hearts, Netflix has moved fast to work with the film’s star as sources tell Deadline Sofia Carson is set to join Taron Egerton in the Netflix and Amblin thriller Carry On. The streamer is also reuniting with Harder They Fall breakout Danielle Deadwyler, who has also joined the ensemble that also stars Jason Bateman. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing. TJ Fixman penned the first draft of the screenplay, with Michael Green doing the most recent polish. Dylan Clark will produce. The film marks the first production to come out of the overall deal Amblin signed with Netflix last June. Sofia Carson addended the 2022 Global Citizen Festival on Saturday (September 24) in Central Park in New York City. This year’s big event was hosted by Priyanka Chopra.
This year, Global Citizen “called on world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly and ahead of the G20 and COP27 in November to step up and invest $600 million into the future of women and girls, close the annual $10 billion climate financing shortfall, deliver $500 million to help African farmers respond to the global food crisis, and provide urgent relief from crushing debts to End Extreme Poverty NOW.”

Sofia Carson attended Fashion 4 Development’s 10th Annual First Ladies Luncheon on Tuesday (September 20) in New York City.
Fashion 4 Development’s Annual First Ladies Luncheon is held during the United Nations General Assembly week in New York, to celebrate the unprecedented cooperation between diplomacy and fashion for the greater good of women and children worldwide. First Ladies, UN Ambassadors and VIPs from around the world gather to honor award recipients – our “Agents of Change” – for their humanitarian work. F4D’s First Ladies Luncheon awards include: the Fashion 4 Development Award, Eco Award, Women’s Champion Award, League of Gentlemen Award and Medal of Honor.
The luncheon included a special presentation of the song “Applause,” written by Diane Warren and performed by Sofia, from the film Tell It Like A Woman. Experimental Carbon singer Sirintip closed out the luncheon with a performance as well.
